Genome Database actively participates in field of compliance with ethical principles and legal norms. As well as informing general public and scientific taget groups about human biological material obtainment, processing, storage and use in future research.
Genome Database has established ELSI (ethical legal social implications) working group, that has developed Biobank law project for the Republic of Latvia and is actively participating in implementation of ethical and legal aspects of biological material research in Latvia.
